Tasks

Exercise 1 (Audio Editing)

For the exercise, we needed to make the other audio EQs as close to the original flat audio with the help of the parametric equalizer.

Exercise 2 (EQ & Reverb)

In the third week, we needed to edit the sound, emphasizing the transformation of audio to simulate diverse environments like a telephone, walkie-talkie, closet, stadium, toilet, and airport. Our responsibilities included not only modifying the EQ but also incorporating an extra effect, particularly reverb, for specific sounds such as those from the toilet or stadium.

Exercise 3 (Multitrack Exercise)

For the third exercise, we were told to make 2 different sounds from simple audio files. The first sound, an explosion, required us to manipulate both its pre-impact and post-impact phases. This involved applying techniques such as reverse, stretch, and modulation. The second sound focused on a punching effect. While initially having only one punch mp3, our objective was to amalgamate and refine it to emulate a sequence of punches, ultimately leading to a impactful final blow, resembling a game punch.

And for some a little bit more exercise, we got given a jet sound to play around with the panning and other things that we could embed onto the audio to make it better.
