Poster
For this project 1, we were told to make an infographic poster with a recipe that was taken from a youtube channel called "Pasta Grannies". The channel covers grannies' formula of making their own special pasta. There are even Pizzas as well.
I took a look at what I could do, and I went by this video making polenta gnocchis. It looked quite fun and simple, so I decided to go with that. I took the inspiration from a Korean Illustrator that specializes in making infographic food posters.
I wrote down the ingredients in a notebook and carefully took note of the recipe they were saying the video.
I then took my time making every illustrations in Adobe Illustrator, like the ingredients, tools needed, the processes and such. This was definitely one of the longest process that was needed for this project.

Then, after making them, I compiled them into a form of a poster. I made a section for the ingredients, tools, and the process.

There was a slight complication of illustrations where I wanted things to go in the pot but there were overlapping of layers. So with my OCD saying that I need to make it perfect for the poster, I made an extra layer to make sure that the ingredients going into the pot was looking like it was going in.

Then, I added in all the processes here and there then all i needed to do was to add in the title and more details.

Animation
After, I began the work on the animation in after effects. The resolution that was required was at 720p so I set it up and began importing the files. There were some extra steps to importing it however, as I forgot to save the illustrations individually in separate layers.

I have done the kinetic typography before doing this project so I was at a point where I was quite used to after effect already. So I just finished it up and compiled all of the the compositions and exported it.

Reflections
Experience
For the project 1, I definitely found the illustrator part very tiring. I felt like I spent too much time for it to just be schemed through when looked at the poster. However, the after effects / animation process went through smoothly but I wish I could've made it a bit more shorter to make it just in 1 minute.
Observations
I found myself actually trying to finish this in time when I had a lot of things going on but I was quite surprised myself when I finished mine on time.
Findings
The illustrations could've been better in my opinion by adding in a bit more details. But other than that I think this project was quite okay to get through and get us prepared for our final project.
