Project 1 - Part 1
For the first project, we were required to download an after effects file that Mr Fauzi has provided us, and make a animated composition with according to the title of the category. So there were 8 different categories, and what we needed to edit was Symmetry, Focus, Scale and lastly, Rhythm.
The animation didn't have to be complex. It could just be boxes and shapes that represents the meaning of the category.
So I started composing in after effects.
The first one was Symmetry, and I didn't just want to make 2 things very similar to each other in one side. So I added circles and that was in a fashion of being a circle, then they rotated and one side mimicked the other. However, this was too simplistic so I placed in some lines to fill out the negative space.

For the focus, I wanted to make something that was being focused on one object. I wanted something that was not too crazy that it would be too distracting so i went with circles. If it was a square, then it would've filled up the entire space so I didn't want that to happen. So I placed a circle in the middle and then made other circles surround the middle one and made some animation that it was appearing from and to that middle circle indicating that the middle circle is the central part.

For Scale, I had in mind things that was orbiting one another but because its trying to be 3d, one would become bigger than the other and would be going in circles pretty much. So i added 2 different objects to be able to differentiate one another and made them rotate each other.

Lastly, the rhythm, I wanted to make it sort of like beat related. At first I wanted to make it like an audio visualizer but I thought that that wouldn't fit the others so I tried to replicate the feeling of a speaker that resonates a strong beat kind of feeling like "boom" sound.

Project 1 - Part 2
For the second part of the project, we needed to animate a sequence where we make use of the items that are given to us and what we already made for the part 1.
So I first went ahead and placed symmetry first, and I separated the lines and the circles from focus to give it more structure and randomness.

After, I added in the movement and the spinning circles from the symmetry, and then the movement turns into hierarchy because of the similarity that it holds those 2 together.

Then I added in the direction that covers the whole screen, and then it rotates into rhythm and the beat carries on the balance.

Then for the last part, I added 4 elements, "Balance, Hierarchy, Rhythm and Symmetry that goes across one another to give it some action.
