Project 3 - Channel Identity
For the 3rd project, it was a continuation of the second one, which was to make a channel identity which promotes what that company offers pretty much.
I started out by researching what I should try to replicate or what I can set as a benchmark to make it better. There wasn't anything that was made by steam that was really focusing on the idea of their application, so I just had to look at some of the other works.
These were some of the references that I could find and I wanted to try to go for something like the Honda advertisement.
The noticeable pattern of all of these ads were that they were kinetic typography ads and I wanted to go for that because it was easier to get the message to out to the audience.
Progress
I started to get the storyboard done. It was going to be a lot like the project 2 with the typography so I thought of the words that would make it appropriate for the people to know what steam was about.

I eventually made 2 different storyboard as I realized that it would've been too long for me to design everything without making every scene 3 seconds.
The point of the video was to bring out the gameplays and I couldn't make one game have 0.1 seconds. So I just optimized the storyboard in the second attempt.
The whole process in after effect was very similar to the second project so it was quite easy to deal with but the carousel that I wanted to make was a little bit of a challenge. I had to duplicate most of the boxes and make them go left by disappearing and appearing from the right.

Then, I imported gameplays of games that are on steam into the composition. Lastly, I needed to put in the call for action. I placed in the text but it seemed way to plain so I just placed in a trace path blue line to make it more filling.
