Project 2 - Theme Based Model
The second project was kind of made for the first project but Mr Kamal made me make this the second project. But anyways, I wanted to make a box room I guess since I saw a lot of these things in the blender renders in social media. It was really one of my dreams to make a good design with this style of render so I searched up on Youtube on how to make one.
I was going for a boxy kind of room with things that you would see in a normal room. So I found this very quick and sped up video on Youtube and I followed it by slowing the video down.
Tutorial - here
I managed to make about half the progress done in the video and there were lots of new things that I learned from this tutorial like the simulation to inflate the pillow and making the bedsheets as well. I used the simulation for that and also used the sculpting window to assist in making the bedsheet look creased. I also made a laptop instead of a pc since I thought it would be a bit more relatable for a student..
I went to class to show it to Mr Kamal. HOWEVER, Mr Kamal said that it needed a theme so I had no choice but to rethink the theme.

I wanted to try out a cyberpunk-ish theme so I gathered a lot of references online and looked at a lot of the pictures from the game "Cyberpunk 2077".

I added in lots of neon lights and removed the window as it was getting in the way of making it look gloomy. I also removed the laptop as it didn't really seem fit for the theme. I added in lots of other details like the neon wordings, bottles from the exercise, a plant, a lava lamp and pipes and such.

Feedback
Mr Kamal reviewed this in the last class but I was kind of late.. and it was physical so I didn't really hear much but he said that it looked good after the class and that was pretty much it. :D
Reflections
Experience
This project was a lot of fun to do and I think this was the best one I got to do so far. Although it doesn't look that professional, I think this really made me learn a lot of new things like simulations and how to make carpets and fur and things like that. This pretty much combined all the things I learnt from the exercises and the first project and that really made it so much more fun.
Observations
I think I worked on this a bit too much and I didn't really focus on the other subjects.. I did find it really fun and when ran into a wall and didn't know how to make something I just searched it up and got through it just fine.
Findings
I learnt so many things with different tutorials to watch when I wanted to make something but I tried not to watch the videos first and tried to make things on my own before watching them to make sure I remember what I'm doing with the tools and all the different functions blender has to offer.
