REFLECTION
Experience
From all of the typography exercises and tasks that were given to us, I became a little bit more fond and a bit less intimidated of the classes. It was definitely quite hard to catch up to the work and the progress that were due in the deadline but I think with a little it of time management I could have done better than what I ended up with.
Observations
During the tasks and assignments, it was quite hard for me to cope through all the work that were given to us from different subjects. I wasn't quite prepared I would say, and I slacked off and was lazy when I finished at least 1 assignment, when I had another one to finish off. I rushed things when I felt like I had no time, and just tried to finish it off as fast as I could. But things were getting fine after I started to reduce the time of me spending time on my computer all the time.
But during the whole semester, I learnt many things and the subject really had a influence on me. I somehow managed to cop and get more positive feelings about it. I learnt many things from Mr. Vinod and from the classes.
Findings
The subject itself is quite intimidating as I have no studies on it, and I would say that not a lot of students get taught typography when they are in their high school years. The task 3a in my opinion was indefinitely the hardest, and the longest to finish, as I had to download multiple applications to get the work done, and the easiest, or the assignment that I was most comfortable of doing was the last assignment, 3b. I didn't quite perform my best this semester and I hope to reach my lecturer's expectations in the next one.
